Default rubbage with enkei rs7s

i have enkei rs7's 18x7.5 with kuhmo 225/40/18 tires on a 2004 wrx.

Last night i got bad rubbage with a full tank of gas and two other people in my car on the right side going into hard corners. It tore up the rubber molding above the rear right tire, and rubs agaisnt the tower in the front. Should these be rubbing the overall size difference isn't much and the offset isnt great but is acceptable. Without people in the car the only time i ever notice it, its usualy on the right side anyways but i only notice it in the front under extremely hard turning. I noticed that The don't have much cleareance and the front rubbing might have to do with my alignment (because the front has more clearance than the back it almost seems).

would stiffer suspension help, also i dropped my tire pressure that won't really help but the people who put them on had the bitches at like 40psi. Is it possible to buy strut towers with more clearance, because i noticed on the WRX the towers in the front have that solid peice that hangs out unlike my dads beemer and my moms 350z.

I did search the subject but eh im looking for alternative options to spacers, or rolling fenders.

Also my aligntment seems like it might be out a little on that side, would that contribute to this that much?

Dropping the pressure may lead to bent rims....that is one of the things that make 18's a bad idea that many people don't take into consideration when using them...and you may wish to examine what offset really means as far as fitment is concerned.

Your post is typical of someone that needs to do some research on why what happened and what to do about it.
If you rubbed on a stock suspension, you very likely have the wrong offset(+35) wheels on the car, and they can not be 'made' to fit properly.
Those are available in a +45 offset that would work much better...the center bore is way wrong on those wheels, though and I would not use them.

I asked for the 45 offset but i never did actualy check it...
is the offset stamped anywhere on the rim?

i was talking to my friend and i think i realize the problem and my stupidity.
a while back when i dented one of my stockers it was from a light side impact and i think the rear passanger rims is rubbing because of that, and maybe the front passanger too (a little less likely tho since this one is hitting the tower and not the molding). however when i got my new rims i didn't notice any alignment problem, so i thought that it was just that my old rims were bent not the alignment being off. It won't totaly solve my problems, but it will help.

I dont think it is possible for 18x7.5 + 45 to rub. Even if it is lowered

yea, i m pretty sure its actualy leaning out on top and thats why both the front and back passanger are rubbing. I'm gonna get it aligned asap, maybe have them set it so their leaning in a little bit, I have 18's so i don't care about the performance at this point or i woulda goten ssr comps lol.

...yes.....

...and if you 'dented' a stocker from a 'light' impact, it wasn't a 'light' impact.

Get the WHOLE suspension checked on the side you hit....

didn't see the offset it anywhere on the rims when i got them so thats why i asked, thought that i might have overlooked it, and when i got the rims, the first thing i did was a couple sharp turns and the highway test to see if the alignment was out. I should have done it imedately but yeah dumb me. thanks for the help.

...it is very unlikely that YOU could tell if the alignment was significantly 'out' without an alignment rack and the training to use it properly.
