Default Affordable 15 inch tire for WRX...

I have been searching for a reasonable price 15 inch wheel for my WRX. I found one wheel from Fondmetal. It is the Tech4, 5X100 and offset is 46mm. That wheel is not pretty or light weight, but my only concern is if it will fit. Any expert want to comment?

Opps! I should have typed wheel, not tire. The spec on the wheel sound like it will fit. 15X7, offset is 46mm.

There are only a few 15" wheels that will clear the brakes. Even then some need a spacer. They are not going to be particularly pretty or light weight. (Even though I think my TH2's are the prettyest wheels I've put on my ride)

Changing your wheel size doesn't inherently do that. Changing the tire size will though. Just buy some 205/50-16s.

smaller tires would help your gearing... no need for smaller wheels.

However, SSR makes a COMP-X that is available through tirerack in 15x7" that will clear the stock WRX brakes.

spec don't mean squat. volk has a style of 15x7.5 that fit over 4 pots, but the 15x7 doesn't. its more how the "spokes" are laid out, and that can only be tested with the wheels over teh 4 pots or a clearance cut out of them.
