Default Anyone know the brand Dayton Tires?

Reason why I ask, I'm getting a set of these tires with my new Rims that are coming from the insurance.. I'm getting the Dayton Daytona HR, in 215/45/17 H-rated tires..

Any info is appreciated 8)

They aren't great tires, think RE-92s. Those are the better of the tires they make though. On their website they give this as one of the attributes of the Daytonas:

"Innovative Roundness - Rounder Is Better"

What speed rating does your car spec call for? They may not be right for your car in that respect. What tires did you have on there? Would you want the insurance company to replace with the same tire? They may be trying to save money by "giving" (like you don't pay premiums for this) you a new tire (more tread) but lesser quality. I believe made in Taiwan.

Hrm.. RE-92.. (nightmares) .. lol
Speed rating? Car tops off at 138? mph? hmm this is the first set of tires on the Rims.. Insurance company is buying all this for me.. I chose all this stuff out, as i'm concerned with all season traction as well.. Taiwan ain't bad, I hope they don't blow up on me

Dayton is a division of Bridgestone/Firestone. You should probably get some new Bridgestone all season tires (such as the RE950) instead since Bridgestone is the OE spec tire.

Also, a Dayton Daytona ZR will be a far better tire than the RE-92 for dry performance. It has all of Bridgestone's entry level performance features which the RE-92 does not have.

Dayton is a part of Bridgestone Firestone. For more info go to a dealer, or google it.

Dayton Tire used to be a USA company based out of Dayton, Ohio. I am pretty sure now though that they will be manufactured jointly in one of the Firestone in the USA. If you can go to a Firestone store, just walk in and they'll have some dayton's on the wall display somewhere - look for the "Made In _____" lettering.
