Default Need help choosing battery (red vs. yellow)

I've searched. Now that that's out of the way I need some help. When I bought the car it had an underdrive pulley installed. I'd prefer lightweight, but again, it came with the car. My problem is that when the car is idling, the lights dim. I know my stock battery is dying, and am going to get an optima. So now I have to decide between red top and yellow.

My inital thought was to go with the red top, as it is the obvious choice, but after reading optima's site, i'm now leaning twords the yellow top because of the "alternator not providing enough charge to keep the battery fully charged" problem. Also, I'll be installing a pair of Hella 500's in a few weeks, and will have the extra draw from them to add on.

So, what would you recommend? yellow or red?

I think the first thing you should do is ditch the UD pulley in favor of either a stock one or a lightened one that's stock size. As long as you have that UD pulley you're not going to be getting sufficient charge at idle regardless of what battery you put in there. You won't fix this shortcoming by getting the Optima, it will just be less likely to go dead.
If all you're going to have in the way of extra electrical accessories is a set of driving lights the Red-Top should be fine.
