Default Lighting recommendations

I just got a new 2005 Impreza RS a couple weeks back and my job requires me to do a lot of highway driving. I've read alot about the HID's on the forums but don't want to go through the pain of installing various kits. Is there a set of lights that I can buy to increase the amount of light coming out of my stock Impreza?

For your existing halogen lights, you can replace the low beam H1 bulbs with a set of Osram Silverstars (NOT the Sylvania Silverstars sold in parts stores), which will give you increased light output with stock power (55W). They are available from a number of online dealers, most notably Daniel Stern lighting at www.danielsternlighting.com
HID retrofits on the 04/05's are not advisable, the resulting beam pattern is poor and not well controlled, resulting in excess glare. If you want HIDs the proper route to go is to install a set of the OEM STi lights. More expensive than a retrofit but the results are far superior.
