Default Cold Vibration

Hi all,

After I switched out my summer tires/wheels for my winter tires (Nokian WRs) / stock wheels, I have noticed that there is a rolling vibration when the car has sat overnight or at work for 8+ hours. The vibration last for about 1 mile and then disappears. It's almost like the wheel is out of balance, but they corrects itself. I thought it might have been moisture in the tire that froze causing the unbalance, but the temp has been above freezing lately, so that it not he issue. So, my thoughts are that the tires are flat spotting overnight and work themselves out once rolling.

Also, I get a slight vibration through the brake pedal when the brakes are applied and when NOT applied. Not sure if this is related or if it is a separate issue.

Regards,
Eric

Flat-spot from sitting in cold. Once the tire warms up after a couple of miles it disappears. I have the same thing on my week-old Pirelli PZero Nero M+S. It's annoying but tolerable.

Thanks for confirming my theory. I was hoping it was something simple and not major, like a wheel bearing. The tires are over 3 years old, so this may have something to due with it. I only use them about 4-5 months out of the year. How old are your tires? I agree, it is annoying but tolerable.
