Default RE70 vs Azenis ST-115

Just wondering if anyone could give me a good comparison between the two in terms of dry/wet performance. I was looking to get a tire with a little more treadlife to them. If I go to the track with the ST-115s, what kind of handling performance could I expect out of them? Thanks.

Try the 451's. The St's are less performance oriented, A big step down... But really most Falkens don't like heat and grease up. Consider the new Hankooks...

...the 451's would be a good choice(much better than the 115's) if you don't try to track them at more than ~1/2 tread...the new z212 hankooks are a bit softer compound than the 451's but will have a good bit more dry grip, I think.

Im real happy with the 'kooks.....'cept the do squeal a bit at times.

...the 115's would be a good tire if you did a lot of highway driving and were willing to give up some overall grip for a MUCH quieter ride and much longer treadwear.....I've driven both the 451's and the 115's and liked both....the 115's wear very well when beat on HARD......

Bumped from January?

The 115s aren't going to come close to the RE070s on the track. If you're concerned about longer tread life and decent track performance it's time for a new set of wheels and good jack.

The 115s offer about 9/10ths the grip of the Azenis Sports plus way better wet traction and much longer treadlife. If you plan to get serious on the track though, I wouldnt recommend them. Occasional hard turns around towns or a windy mountain road run, they work really well.

I run the ST-115's right now, and my wet traction is twice that of my stock RE92's in the dry. Highway driving is very silent, and autocross was a real BLAST.

I've only got 4500 miles on it and I'm down to 50% tread though. I'm quite sure that it's just my driving because I really don't like stepping on my brakes as much as possible...

Right now I'm debating whether or not to get the same tire once it wears out. I wasn't expecting it to be so satisfying... and now I'm wondering if I'll regret my choice if I go for another tire and it turns out to be not as good as the ST-115s.
