Default cruise control install

allrighty guys im installing cruise control on my 93gc. i know ill need the cruise cable/vacum pump and i know ill need the dashswitch and control stock near the steering wheel. My question is 2 parts.
1. is there anything im missing parts wise?
2. is it just easiest to swap out steering wheels for the cruise control

note these parts are coming out of a 92 legacy wagon.

Thanks in advance.

1. All the connectors (and wiring) to plug into all the parts. And the cruise control computer module, which is probably under the dash somewhere.

2. I don't know about '93. I found that it's very easy to add the switch to later models- I've done it on a '90 & '00. You would have to compare your steering wheel with one of the same year that has the stock cruise switch. Swapping steering wheels with the 92 Leg is a possibility, but I can't confirm that.

You might be able to use cruise control parts from a Legacy, but they won't plug into the harness connectors on the Impreza. The c.c. on Impreza does not have a vacuum pump, just a big actuator connected directly to the intake, and the wiring is different. The c.c. kit for '93-'94 (and '95 1.8) is H7010FA200/210 (manual/auto), it's listed now for $70 and maybe someone still has it.

Try fogler subaru in North Carolina. They found the old units and sell them for around $60.
