I have a back spec v too and the paint does suck! You should think about removing the nissan hamburger from the gill and the nissan, sentra, and ser from the trunk. It will clean the car up a lot. see:

I've thought about it quite a bit but just can't bring myself to take the hamburger out. There's something about it, oh and I'm leasing so when I take it back I'll have to have to back on. As well I notice with my first car that having a easily recognizable car in my area meant the people I pissed off on the road could find me again easily another day...

Don't let these naysayers discourage anyone from a spec-v. My friend has one and I've driven it several times. It's a damn fun car to drive. Shifting is easy and the engine is real torquey. I like em.

I think the shifter on the wrx is much smoother than the Spec V's. The Nissan is very clunky. I know it can be solved by a short shifter, but in stock form it kinda sucks.

I do agree with you about the enjoyability. The engine is very torquey, I have to do everything I can to not spin the tires when I take off. The wife hates when I drive because I drive like a retarted 16 year old. Cause "I buy my own tires"
