Default 06 STi Opinions

Heres a quick blurb about the Australian version.
http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring...u-wrx-2006.htm
I like a most of the new features, power, dual exhaust, tail lights look well refined....but the front end is puzzling, Alfaru anyone?
First the Saabaru 92x, now this one.... I hope a FerrariRU is next
What do you think?

Its a possible Photochop. I was just wondering what the 06s would look like this morning and found this thread: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=699787

Also.. I thought I read somewhere Subaru was changing to a 4-year cycle for their model redesigns? Doesn't look like much as changed with the actual chassis..

before we get too doubting that it is real
dont forget the stylings of the b9 tribeca
looks alot like that and they tend to make all the front ends similarily designed

i don't think 06 STi is gonna have a new face.

07 is the earliest if it really comes out a new face for impreza

It seems to be the trend, although its only been two years since we got the STi. But you all remember when the bug eyes came out.
Maybe this look will grow on us aswell, I do like the twin exhaust alot. It must a have a sweet note!

Yeah, that's about right.

Subaru's lack of vision since, oh, say 2000, has been quite annoying. The toilet seat grille is another example of that, "Oh, the other guys have a design motif, we should too" mentality. It's probably here to stay, and they're probably just going to keep bloating the heck out of the Impreza.

And all this talk about "5 year model cycle" or whatnot isn't really worth much, IMHO. Nobody seems to remember that the 1997 (MY98) revision was actually considered a full model change -- just the sheet metal didn't change much. I was thinking maybe they'd go a long time on the current sheet metal because they need to amortize the costs of band-aiding the bugeyes ... but we'll see...

Those rear lights are just made of the top half of the current rear lights with the circle part of the bottom half imposed in the middle of the top part.

Photoshop for sure.

The only thing confirmed to come from Subaru is that 3rd pic of the WRC car. Everything else should be considered crappy media BS :P I happen to like the WRC car there. Word is GT4 will have the new Impreza in it.

I have to say, the WRC version looks kinda attractive... in a weird way. You know, kinda like how Batmobile is cool.

Then again, I never thought any of the WRC versions look bad. Race cars can never look bad.
