Post Midwest Division SOLO II in St. Louis

I'm planning on going to the Midwest Divisional SOLO II in St. Louis, MO May 25th-27th.

I will be bringing my lovely Subaru along with a friend and his Subaru and we both will be competing in STS.

STiShawn has been gracious to allow us to crash at his place so that is where we're staying.

I plan to leave early Friday morning and get there ASAP and meet Shawn somewhere(to be determined).

I'm just curious if others from the area will be attending/competing in this event.

For more info go to http://www.midivsolo.org

Thanks guys and hope to see some of you there. I'm coming down hoping for some better competition than I currently have in my region.

Jon

Are we up for a bit of socializing that friday too? mini scoob meet at my place for some beer drinking and bull sh\tting....

This is ironic. It lookss like I might have to go to KC on Saturday for Lynn's best friends wedding. I totally forgot. I'm going there, and all you guys are coming here!! ****!!! Oh well, I'll still be able to party Friday and maybe be back Sunday, maybe even Saturday PM. I don't know if we're staying overnight. Hopefully Lynn can't get off work and we won't be able to go.

Sounds good. I want to make every minute of the trip count! Socializing and drinking and eating sounds great!
We've got 2 so far from Omaha.. don't know if I can get others to come or not.
Is there any nice grassy area's near your place Shawn?? I can bring my tent if it gets crowded.

This is going to be a fun weekend and will get us in the mood for the National Subaru Meet!

Shawn I'll call you and verify my arrival time for Friday and likely call you at work sometime during my trip down just to bug you and keep your mind off work!

Jon

Looking forward to meeting you crazy MO guys!

well, i will be there. omaha, you have met me and joel already at MWSOC/INR auto-x last fall. also, i'm glad you're bringing STS people and not GS as far as compititon goes, oh yeah. stl is pretty hardcore by itself, but with the best from the whole division coming in, its going to be good practise for nationals.

KC-my place isn't nearly as nice as shawns, but i do have a couch, although if its hot in a couple of weeks (which it probably will be) you might not want to stay here unless you don't mind a 3rd story apartment without A/C. pm me if interested.

I don't know where the host hotel is, but getting teched and walking the course is a must! I want to walk that course quite a bit on Friday and then even more on Sat. morning before the event.

Let me know where you want to meet (actual address) via e-mail and I'll go to mapquest and get directions.

I talked to one of our big CSP guys and sounds like quite a few guys from Omaha will be attending.

We must get a Subaru Caravan when we arrive on Sat. That is the only way to do it! After my arrival at the MWSOC/INR event and not sure where the parking lot was.. as I was turnning around (Dan and I) we saw this caravan of RS's coming... WOW that was a site and to get in on the line.. that was even cooler! Driving in a caravan of Subaru's makes you feel FREAKIN' AWESOME!

Yeah I remember you few.. hard driving St. Louis guys at MWSOC/INR event.

Looking forward to it. I will be sending off my registration information next week.

None of you guys have or claim the number 55 do you?

A local guy has the 55 number reserved, but that doesn't mean he'll be there for sure, but he most likely will be. I also don't know if the permanent #'s that people paid for are valid for the regional.

Jon-- would that big CSP guy happen to be Dan Costello? If so, I was curious why he didn't make it to the middiv#1 in Salina a few weeks ago...

This is gonna kick ass.....Don't worry about camping, we'll be fine even if we have 3 people crashed at my place, we have had 6 before and there is plenty of floor space...
My apartment has a pool and hot tub to,if its gonna be as warm as I think it will, swimming might be a good ide after the races....

The Permanent numbers from the St. Louis region do not apply to the Solotime event in two weeks. I should have the entry list of all entries that I have received so far up Sunday evening.

Hey Chris,

Just mailed my entry form today. I'll be there come h3ll or high water. I go with number 52, and forgot to put an alternative. If it's taken, shoot me a PM and we'll figure one out.

Looking forward to the apparently high level of competition in STS.

Should be fun.
