Unhappy Windshield Repair

I have a very small chip on my windshield caused by a skipping little pebble that hit my windshield. I noticed that there is a crack developing underneath the chip. I'd like to repair it before it gets any bigger.

I was wondering if I should call a professional to repair it or if it would be worth it for me to get one of those Permatex windshield repair kits. The chip is very very small. Just a tad bigger than a grain of rice. I just don't want the crack to start getting bigger and bigger.

Any advice? TIA.

To my knowledge you can only repair a ding on the windshield and not a crack. So if your windhield is starting to crack you might be alittle too late.

Yup, the chip has to be fixed before it cracks. You might want to take it to an auto glass shop and see what they think, but you might be out of luck. Sorry.
