Default ST closed loop enter value (rpm)

Maybe I'm a friggin idiot, but why is this value 8000? I need to adjust this to fix the stalling problem, but i don't understand why this value is 8000 RPM's.

Shouldn't it be something like 1500!?!?!

just found updated ST maps that adress the Cl issue, thought they only updated the AP maps, time to dig out the ap again

FYI it's here

http://www.wrxforum.com/cgi-bin/ulti...;f=15;t=000019

Too bad they don't actually fix the problem.

The only thing I can think of is maybe this is one of the "proprietary" things Cobb changed to keep people from copying their maps exactly. . .

anyone else?

this is interesting. From Trey Cobb:

Chad,

Because you are starting with the stock rom file, and those are the
stock values. Open the map I sent you which will make it your working
file, or any of the maps included, and you'll see the RPM value to enter
CL is 3700 and the exit value is 3800.

So the question why on earth 8000 may be best left to Subaru. ;-)

Regards,
Trey

and oh yea, I have the BETA ST map for those with persisting CL issues, if anyone wants it PM me and I"ll email it to ya!
