Default Baja goes to the track -- my 1/4 results

Took my 04 baja turbo 5 speed to island dragway in new jersey. I was way hotter than I was hoping for, the baja's temp gauge said 77 degrees.

My baja is bone stock, has a bed extender, and other heavy options and a Im not the lightest guy in the world (probably with clothes about 220), and I made no effort to ligthen it up. Anyhow, thats probably enough excuses...lol.

I got 5 passes in -- the first two I launched poorly and the vehicle bogged bad, result in a pair of mid 15s. One of them had a 2.516 60', just to give you an idea how bad. The next two were better, slipping the clutch at around 3k rpm, and a pair of 2.1 60's and a 15.07 @ 90mph and then a 15.06 @ ~91mph. I had practiced launching on the street a bunch, for some reason it wasnt working out at the track. Last run i launched too high, spun the back tires and a 15.2 was my reward. I brought my tazzo (like a g-tech), which I tested with on the street and it was also showing me about the same data as the track was-- disapointing because on the street I managed 1.9 60's with it and a 14.66 @ 93 or 94 mph.

So best pass:
60's 2.158
1/8 9.67
1/8 mph 72.88
1000 12.574
1/4 15.060
MPH 90.82
on this particular run I also managed to hit the limiter on the 1-2 shift somehow.

definately should have run a 14 of some type, now im going to have to try this again at some point...

Yah, it's all in the launch and 60' times. Getting them under 2 seconds will yeild great results in your time.

congrats for getting it to and on the track for some results. I'm sure you will get it into the 14s in a few more runs. good luck!!
