Post spoiler warranty question...

my spoiler has a small crack at the base, i took it to the dealer, he said it would be replaced under warranty...

my question is, when i go up to where they do all the processing and stuff at, can i ask them about a aftermarket spoiler? or is there a even a slim chance of them giving me the money for a aftermarket one??

id really like the revolutions motorsports 2 pc V6 wing..

and would they probably let me keep my old spoiler, the crack is SO tiny, and unseen i could probably sell it..

If they would let you keep the old one, that'd be sweet- an alternative might be getting a new one, keeping both, and selling both to get money for the aftermarket one. In that case, you might want to try and line up a buyer, so you can have the dealer paint it in a color that the buyer wants.

I'd be skeptical that the dealer would give you full price in cash of what they ask for a stock wing- but hey, it never hurts to ask.

I'm not sure, but I don't believe the dealer eats the cost of warranty replacements- I think they have some sort of arrangement with Subaru where subaru picks up the tab, or both parties share the cost, in that case, it'd seem to me that it'd be very difficult to just get cold hard cash from them in place of warranty- let us know what happens though- if my tranny ever goes on my I wouldn't mind using the money for a 'dog gear fund' instead of them just replacing some stuff-
