Default Defi BF install: Pay or DIY?

Defi BF boost, EGT, and oil pressure. I did do some searches and got the basic idea but how hard is it really, for those of you that have installed these, on a scale of 1-10? I'm not a total noob since I've done springs, TBE, hoses, etc...easy stuff. Taking off the heatshield, removing the header piece, removing the oil plug, etc. seem easy enough but I'm worried about drilling and or tapping since it's somewhat permanent. I don't have a drill press but I have a very steady hand (dentist in training ). I would love to do these on my own, especially since the local guy wants $300 for the install, but I will fork out the cash if it's worth it. Whacha guys think?

Well i did the install myself and yeah tapping that hole on the exhaust manifold was the hardest part for me at least, thats why i had my friend mark to do it for me, even if he never done one before. At least i had someone to blame in case of problem. HAHAHA, no now being serious he had a drill press and is the best way to go cuz with a regular drill the chances of get a crooked hole are very posible. U just need to set the manifold straight on the drill press and after that use the tap and go slowly keep turning until u feel gets hard then back up to clean the treads and go again thats the way to do it back and forth in less than 10 mins u will have a nice treaded hole and ur EGT would be ready to go. I hope everything goes ok .

Have fun

At least take it off and try it, you can always get it tapped by a shop if you need.
