Default MY pride and joy GONE!

I don't post here to often, but I figure if anyone understands what I've been through today, it would be the people here. Well, officially today, my 04 rex is crushed. I Hit a big ass friggin Lincoln Town car because the bastard didn't have his blinker on, so I didn't know he was stopping to turn(I wasn't following, I was coming around a turn and he was about 200 ft ahead of me after the turn,). I loved this car, and I think the insurance is going to try to fix it ( god I hope not, the airbags didn't deploy, and the ABS didn't engage or was late or something, because the wheels locked up and I sure as hell slid.) luckily no one was hurt ( physically, I don't think there's been a time in my life I wanted to cry more, though I didn't, I really wanted to.) So I'm sketchy on them fixing it, and the fact I won't ever be able to trade it in or get any real money for the car later down the road, so I'll be stuck with a car with a repaired subframe, yea, really strong.. So, to all driving tonight, be careful, there are a$$holes out there that can't follow simple driving rules like blinkers when making turns.
One thing that might work is that I'll just take the car as is and take the money from the repair estimate, and sell the parts that are still good so I can pay off the car ( The radiator and all that stuff was pushed back right up to the engine, if the engine remained intact, I'm uncertain, I'll find out when they do their report,) The whole front end is gone though. The transmission and driving system I KNOW are intact, so if they TRY to repair it, I know I'll have that to sell. I went to work ( and got alot of sympathy, which I'm not looking for here,) They all told me to sue Subaru for the defective airbags and braking, They asked how fast I was going, I said I don't know, but I got one picture of the damage on my brothers cell phone, and the first thing they said was " DAMN! and the airbags DIDN'T go?" and I said no, they were shocked. I'm not sue happy or anything, I just don't want to be put back into a car with a front end that will obviously be weaker than before, and I'll never be able to get rid of, so I was told to sue for the value of the car ( and lawyer fees.) so I can pay off the car. I don't seem to be injurred, and I WAS raised never to go looking for "free" money or anything, it's just if they fix it, that is messed up ( same thing happened to my brother in one of his cars, and that car never drove the same after they fixed it.)
What do you guys think? I mean going after Subaru, but it's like this, what if I was going faster, the speed limit was like 35-45 I can't remember, what if I was doing 60, or 70 and they didn't go, then what?
Also, I'm going to be posting in the for sale forum after this post, a sort of pre sale, to see if any one is interested in the parts, that is if they try to fix it. So if anyone is interested, let me know. It WAS a 2004 WRB WRX, totally stock, no modifications. Had around 17k miles on it. I'm not going to say it was mostly highway driven and other nonsense like on E-bay or anything. I didn't drive it, sometimes I drove it fast, but I definatly took car of the car. I'll have a parts list ( stuff I know is good, and the only thing I don't know is the engine, but if anyone wants to ask for it, I'll let you know when I know if it's still good or not.)
I do want some opinion on the lawyer thing, from anyone who has an opinion. Thanks and be safe out there ( I'll try to get images when I can, or I can send them to anyone, well, the one, to anyone by request.)

**** bro im sorry to hear of this. I know how it feels to have something you really love ruined or removed by some degenrate law breaking loser.
But as for the decision to repair or no its hard to say without knowing the position you will be in after you make either decision. That thing about the airbags os a worry though, id definately be checking the specs of when they are supposed to deploy and see how far away that is from the impact of yours.
But dont lose heart obi wan, bad luck strikes each and every one of us, its just how we deal with it that matters.

Well, I don't know if I can say he was an a$$hole. He had to be in his early 60's. And I'm sure everyone knows how well old people drive. Alot of them really shouldn't be on the road.
The ironic thing is, is that I was comming back from the auto parts store to put a new starter in my other car because it went bad ( the rex was my weekend car, I drive a crappy neon during the week, it does save me alot on gas though.) So if the starter didn't go bad, I wouldn't have been there, I would have been at work. Stupid Dodge ( and the starter that messed up, was a brand new one that I replaced at the end of January!)
It happened like 3/4 of a mile from my house, so that age old statement that most accidents happen close to home, god do I believe it!
