Default Frankenstein build

I hate to sound like i'm too lazy to do research but i am feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment. I have recently inherited (traded a 90 miata for) a non running 2000 impreza 2 door rs with a ej205 v5 in it. The main draw back is that the wiring is not done. I have tried to do a lot of research and have things narrowed down but i still would like advise because this is my first harness merge and swap of this kind or of any kind. The harness i was given is from a jdm 02 sti and has an aem stand alone ecu. I was wondering if the aem can be programmed to use the v5 timing pickups or if i would have to switch the cam and crank gears to newer usdm ones. Also i think i have figured a way to use the coil pack set up vs. individual coils as i do not have the equipment to pull the motor nor the money to buy valve covers and coils at this time. The coil has 4 pins, power, ground, 1&2 trigger, 3&4 trigger. The individual coil packs have 3 each, power, ground, and a trigger. As i understand it the coil pack fires two cylinders together so i was going to try tying in the coil trigger wires from the harness together and also use the power and grounds from the wiring harness for the coil. Basically have 1&2 tied together and running to the respective pin in the coil pack, ect. Fuel injectors will be my next hurdle, he has 850cc injectors for a 2002 included with fuel rails. Just have to figure out lines and how to make them work. Like i said any advise is welcome, just would like to have this thing running in the next few months.
