Default First Post for the new guy

Hello everyone!

I have been reading this forum for a while and I have to admit it is very entertaining. I finally bit the bullet and traded my 04 wrx for an 05 CGM Sti!
I was plotting and planning all the tuning, but decided to just make the move.

I am in FV and ran across a couple of you on Harbor Blvd once in a while.

Just wanted to say hello...

Yo! Good to see you're keepin in the family.

I think you made a good move. The only issues you'll have to address are handling. The STi is just an excellent platform to start on. Too bad there's no STi wagon available now.

But anyways, let me be the first to say "welcome".

Where is FV? is that in the 909?

Fountain Valley - in the OC...

I originally joined to learn about mods for my WRX. I love this STi. I am doing the break in period and cant wait to open her up...

I am a he, by the way. A tad older than most from what I have read.

Very true afro, a lot of the new people get flamed like no other.
Just don't act like an ass, do some searching before asking common questions, and don't take things too personal, because a lot of people like to talk smack on here.

Welcome.....

My only problem with FV is that I got a ticket on that damn speed trap on, I believe it's Harbor blvd. I hate that speed trap.

yes! I got pulled over in wrx but the cop was actually cool. gave me a ticket for no seatbelt instead of a speeding ticket. ( I was wearing a seat belt...)
Apparently I was driving a little too fast for a semi-rainy day...

fight the ticket. Even failed attempts...what's the worse that will happen, you're found guilty like they already assume you to be? I'm 2/4 in fighting various tickets, so hey, just my input.

Hey n00b!,

Did you read the "read before posting thread"? You can't post until US2JDM says you can. Or else, the mods will ban you.

Have a nice day.

Really, the quality flames of SCIC has really been lacking LATELY.
Just kidding.
Hey Stormin, you should bring your car out to an autocross.
http://www.solo2.com/
It's the only way you can drive your car at 10/10 and not have to worry about killing yourself or the car.
Even track days can't be driven at 10/10 if you want the car to come back in one piece.
Have fun and welcome to the dysfunctional family.

YinUCSD is a genius. He has a "Honk if you know the thermal efficiency of a Rankine Cycle!" bumper sticker hanging slanted above his exhaust.
