Default how important is it to get the front o2 sensor replaced?

ok guys. i got the letter today. i guess my car is infected . but anyways subaru city siad the earliest they can get my in is on the 15th or something like that. here is the problem, i might go on holidays next week till the end of august then its back to beaverlodge for me. so i don't have any time to get this recall done. how important is it to get it changed? can i just drive for another year or so before i get it fixex/changed?

It's not a bug immediate necessity but I wouldn't wait a year.

I drove mine about 1500kms before getting it replaced and the only ill effect is gas mileage. It's not sucking gas like a big V8 but a little more than usual.
Just remember to do an ECU reset once you get the sensor changed. I had my front AND rear o2 sensors changed yesterday.
