Yup first one was just a homemade bar out of steel box-stock from Home Depot.

The pod is made by PIAA, I bought it used from a member here, I think some places still sell them online but beware, they are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and you then get the pleasure of drilling holes in your hood and/or bumper.

subscribed. I've been thinking about a DIY DJM fog setup but haven't take the time to figure out what I may need and if it's cost efficient. 02fastWRBLUE's PIAA lights are my top choice.

Next up is roof rack delete

Anyone have any pictures/DIY of an upper mount? Tired of the bar flopping around, my last bumper started cracking at the bumpstops.

Also wonder what would happen if I ever hit anything, I stayed away from FMICs because I was afraid of crash damage. Don't the lower radiator support or whatever to be torn out.

More posts and more info on where your different set ups are from. The R.I. light bar is easily recognizable and its what I've been thinking about going with until lately, now I'm considering having my buddy use that design and fab me up something custom/stronger/easily removable.

You found an old thread...but have you seen THE thread?

I like the way the Rally Innovations light bar looks but my buddy installed it on his 05 STi and I didn't like how flimsy it seemed.

I'll play...again.

Custom made this ourselves(much like everything else in the car). Its tied to the subframe and the bumper support. I can jump on it, tow with it, lift the car by it, etc.

Fogs mounted in the bumper:

Now, for the "what kind of lights?"

Top of the bar are 700FFs, bottom of the bar is 500FFs for turning/ditch lighting, and there is a set of 500 Pencil beams mounted in the front bumper and braced to the core support to stop bounce.

Portable Daylight

Oh, and the whole bar comes off in about 5 minutes, and is wired with a quick disconnect plug for the lights.
