Default What happened to my cruise control?

I was putting my TBE on my STi this morning and ran into a problem, it seems with the oxygen sensor screwed in the pipe, the wire to plug in the sensor to the harness is about 2 inches too short. I just left it unplugged for the time being, I'll get a MIL later. When I got back in the car, the cruise light was flashing and the cruise won't come on at all. Is this because the 02 sensor isn't plugged in? That's the only thing electrical that I touched.

Moved to the maintenance forum.
The disconnected sensor is setting a code and triggering the CEL, which you know. On your car when this happens the cruise light will also flash as a means of getting your attention, unfortunately this means the cruise will not function until the issue that caused the code to set is addressed.

....if you follow the wiring harness foreward, there may be some clips that hold it that can be unclipped allowing the harness to reach.

Beware twisting/breaking/borking the wiring to the sensor!!!!!
