How the heck do you torque the crank pulley bolt?
I'm on one of the last steps of the timing belt job, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get that bolt to 94lb/ft. Everytime I try to torque it, the motor just spins. ANy idea's on how to do this? It's a lightweight pulley on an automatic car.

there's an access hole on the passenger side rear of the motor. Pull the rubber cover off that and use a prybay to keep the flex plate from turning while you torque the crank bolt. Make darn sure you don't bend the flex plate.

Keeping your car in 5th gear while torquing will do this as well.

I had a friend hold the crank pulley with a Craftsman strapwrench. This was on an automatic, and I torqued it to 120 ft-lbs. I've seen 94 ft-lbs and 130 ft-lbs for the spec on this bolt.
