Default Have Prodrive lowering springs? Post pics.

Im thinking about buying some Prodrive lowering springs for my 2002 WRX as they seem to have the best reviews. If you have them installed can you post pics of the stance, how do you like them? Thanks!

Search the Member's Car Gallery for "Prodrive Springs". I'm sure you'll get plenty of pictures.

I have some pictures if you want to go to this link

http://home.comcast.net/~klone/cars.html

The garage was kind of dark, but you should get the idea. I love them, some people don't think the drop is low enough, but I think they are perfect.

Isnt the back lower to begin with???

Wouldn't that make the back end sit REALLY low, and the front not so low??

It's really not bad by any stretch of the imagination, if anything the springs highlight how gimpy the stock rims really look They also leave a nice smal and tidyl gap when 17" rims are installed on the car. My 17X7.5" Gram Lite 57c's are going on this week, so my car will be clean and sharp.

I bought the springs because I thought they would work well, and I was right. They stiffened up the car nicely without being too harsh, and let the dampers do their thing.

In my pictures, that was using the stock struts. The prodrives are supposed to work excellent with the stockers. I never had a problem.

I have since swapped out the stockers for the agx's.

Love the ride, especially on a good backroad. They're designed by Prodrive to be used with the stock struts without any problems.

Prodrives are more of a performance spring than a lowering spring. They are built to create the best handling possible with the stock struts.

If you want to go low, look at the Tein H-Techs. If you want to slam it, look at the Tein S-Techs. If you want to handle like a mo-fo, look at the Prodrives.

Personally, I think Subaru made a huge mistake with the front fender styling, and many of the lowering springs are just trying to make up for the mistake with an increased front drop. IMHO, Subaru should have redesigned the front fender as I have done below.

Look at these 3 pix...

Stock...

Stock with no drop, only my fender addition...

My fender addition + lowering springs...

This would have resulted in a superior handling vehicle. The only reason I don't go into business making different fenders is because the aftermarket spring companies almost always have more drop in front than in the rear, so if people then wanted to lower the vehicle, they might have clearance issues.
