Pike's Peak Pics
Just got back from PPIHC. Better weather this year, with many records broken in numrous classes.
Poor Pat & Nathalie broke a driveshaft and a motor up top and had to be towed down. Stephan Verdier won overall in Rally-America's portion of the rally and the top hill climb. The specialist #00 Falken Tire KIT Service STi from Heuberger Motors sounded like it had some EM problems going up the hill. Both Stig and Pat beat last years GroupN time, but Mark Lovell/Roger Freeman's Open Class record still stands. Unique cars?? Escort Cosworth Mitsubishi FTO JDM EVO7 EVO8 (New Zealand Import, Andrew Hawkeswood) JDM STi v8 Open Class EVO Stig at Parc Expose OMGhi2u2 North Coast Rally Team Leonard Vahsholtz with his restyled Ford on another winning track. Few more pics here: http://www.thawa.net/gallery/album101?page=2

I know it's probably a longshot, but.....
Happen to have any pictures of Todd Cook? He runs in Mini Sprint (Super Sprint) class, won it last year and again this year! He's a friend of mine from my "other car" (see my username) world |

Record?
Anyone know the Lovell/Roger Open class record? Just curious how close Stephan got to it this year.
Thanks |

I think Mark and Roger ran an 11:40. That will be hard to touch with a 34mm restrictor. I think that record will stand for many years. As it should be.

Awesome! I've never been to a Pike's peak event but I'm putting it on my list of things to do before I die.
Never realized how close you can get to the action! |
