i miss my RS...

Unhappy "check engine" light after 1.new exhaust 2.oil change 3.shifting maf.....

so, I have a 99 2.5RS with a problem This is what's up so far.....

Yesterday:

1. morning- car ok occaisional whistling at full throttle
2. had stock cat-back removed, installed 2.5" catback. car lacked torque
3. changed grounding point for nology wires(I've had for a year now), tightened loose bolt on intake manifold(because of a fishy whistling). car not changed -whistling gone
4. reset ecu. torque improved slightly
5. changed oil/filter. car no change ("duh")
6. take back car and remake midpipe with 2.25" pipe and stock resonator. car regained torque
7. reset ecu. car no change.
8. removed outter most part of snorkel/inspected air filter (requiring shifting maf). car ok

Today:

1. morning drive to work- car ok
2. turn on car to leave work- "CHECK ENGINE"

WHAT HAPPENED?? What should I do?? Any Ideas???

Thank you.
z.

Get the code read. From what you've posted we can't tell you why the CEL came on. It may be related to what you did, then again it may have nothing to do with any of it.
Find out what the code is and post it here.
