Default Problems!

Has anyone ever had the nut that is spot welded in the frame rale brake loose while trying to remove the bolt that is in it? It happened to me. I am in the process of changing my 93 from front to all whell drive. The front bolt on the passenger side of the rear cross member. I eventually got it out but had to cut the side of the frame rail so I could get a wrench in there to hold it still.

The front bolt on the other side is rounding off. Any ideas?

Please help me!

A torch applied liberally loosens most bolts.

Bolt out socket for removing stripped bolts and nuts. I had to use these for a similar problem and they worked great

Thank you Both. I can't use a torch because the bolt is about 3 inch from the gas tank, I am only doing the rear sus. and brakes right now.

I got the bolt out kit and it worked great. But, now I popped the welds on that nut as well. So I did the same as I did on the other side and cut a hole just big enough for a wrench to fit in there. Now the nut behind it has popped loose. At least I will have all new fasteners in there by the time I'm done.

Now I have a Joint, CV spindle wheel bearing failure. I was driving on the interstate when the rear of the car became a little uneasy and then a sudden jerk to one side and the wheel locked up. I got the car off the road safely. When I got out to see what had happened the drivers side rear wheel was toed out at about a 35 or 40 degree angle. The only thing that held the wheel on was the brand new Subaru 2 pot caliper that had the brand new disk wedged enough to not let the hub come out of the hub carrier. The caliper is scared up but I think it will function fine. The parking brake assymbly seems fine as well, but the backing plate is bent. I need to know if the hub assymbly is lost, I can't tell at the moment. I will take pics if anyone can help me out. Please anyone. This is my familys only car, and now we are stranded.
