Transmission Oil change intervals
I just got off the phone with a local subaru dealership asking them about recommended intervals for transmission oil changes. He told me that they have no scheduled change intervals. WTH? I mean its gotta be changed at some point right? My car is sitting at 36000 miles right now and I really feel like it should be changed, probably should have been done a while back. Does anyone have any idea why they would tell me this. Anyways I'm getting a 80W90 non synth to put in it, and i hope it works alright. They recommended motorcraft.

You should change all the fluids(diff, trans) at 20,000. I use the Motul Gear 300 and I must say this stuff is the best I've used yet. The Motul blows the Redline out of the water.

my local subaru dealer uses 80w-90 and i called another one in the area and they use 75w-90. i know the 80w-90 will be thicker when cold, but does it provide for better shifting / protection.
