Default What basic suspensions are cross compatible

by basic I mean, springs & shocks and other odds and ends. Someone may have asked this question but since the search engine excludes searches of fewer than 3 characters (i.e. "RS")...

So, I'm looking to replace my springs and shocks. I don't need anything fancy, pretty much just looking for a short term replacement. Unfortunately its getting hard to find parts for my 99 RS and there seems to be an abundance of parts for the newer models. What pieces are cross compatible? Will shocks from an 03 wrx and springs from an 05 fit? (just a silly example). Anyway, if this has been covered, feel free to sh t me or at least point me in the right direction.

no cross compatibility

you cant/shouldnt consider putting wrx stuff on your car
struts are too tall. strut tops are all wrong.

try this...

either GR2's ($50ish each) or AGX's ($90ish each)

SPT Eibach lowering springs - $200ish

nice setup. better than stock and will make your car handle great

shout with questions.
this stuff is not hard to find
but stick with GC/RS stuff for the best fit/ride.
