Default Newbie questions

I have never been to a rally-x or auto-x but was looking to get into it. I have a MY99 impreza that I am slowly modifying with the standard bolt-on mods such as headers, exhaust, high-flow cat, midpipe and an intake when a good one is introduced for my MY99. After reading some of the SCCA solo II rules it looks like it will but me in a different class altogether. The car I bought was from a guy who was previously on the boards and he had a site up listing the mods Here . Anything other than the high-flow cat and headers keeping from competing in the Solo II? For my first time out I didnít was to go into the Street Modified since it looks like it maybe a little more difficult. Any tips for someone looking to get into it?

What do you want to run? Stock, STS, Street Prepared, Prepared, Modified?

For stock, you can't have the intake or anything upstream of the catalytic converter. As far as other classes, I know less. Short of an exhaustive combing of the rulebook, you'd need to be more specific about what you've got and what you want to run in.

Depending on the brake upgrades, you could either run in STS or D-street prepared. You are not allowed to change the rotor diameter or the caliper in either of those classes (your mods lists didn't specify). Otherwise you go to SM or E-Prepared.
Good luck
