Default Re070's fit 8.5" wide?

I have a pic of the Prova STi from my hyper rev and looks like its streched them to fit on a 17x8.5 wheel.

They look actually good..Granted its not getting the use of a 8.5" wide wheel...but will they fit?
I have some 8.5's coming and would consider riding on them untill the Azenis RT615 size 235/40 comes out sometime this year.

ever consider a 255? a 235 is still pretty small, 245 i would think is ideal for 8.5", but i believe a 255/40 can fit without rubbing on a wheel with an offset of 50* as long as you aren't lowered and assuming the ce's are the wheels your talking about.

Tire Rack shows the recommended rim width for the RE070 is 7" to 8.5".

Same on Bridgestone site:
