Default Part number for mounting brackets?

I'm looking for the official Subaru part numbers for the mounting brackets and related hardware for STi's fog lamp covers. I've got a '01 RS, and got the covers from SubaruParts.com sans hardware. Anyone know what they are? Thanks.

Check Brian's site, it's the most complete list of parts I've ever seen.

Thanks for the refrence, but the Last time I asked this, Brian chimed in, and even he didn't know. The part number listed on his page doesn't seem to be right, either. Oh, well. Thanks anyway.

I'll chime in again... the part number for the mounting brackets that I do have is for the version 4 bumper, not the 5/6.

SubaruParts.com doesn't have them either, and even Scott said to use a long self tapping screw. I can't believe these damn brackets are so hard to come by. If even Brian can't help me, I guess I'm screwed.
Thanks again.

Thing is, they are STi parts... you will be hard pressed to find the part number here in the states, and I doubt any dealer will have it at all .

Is everyone with these covers just using the long screw trick? I know it'll work, but I'd like to make the installation as factory-looking as possible.
This is frustrating as all hell. Sure, the covers themselves are real easy to come by, but actually mounting them is a different story. What a f**cking joke.
Thanks again for your info, Brian. Appreciated as always.

Well, you are certainly welcome . Thing is, the long screw trick is pretty much factory. The bracket bolts behind the fog lamp using the regular bolts that hold it in now, and then there is a long bolt that screws into a nut welded on the bracket that holds them in... this is the "long screw" trick on my clear covers:

You really can't tell, and if you have one of the solid ones, it will be all the harder to notice anything is amiss .

Well I got the bumper kit from Scott of SubaruParts too, along w/the STi covers. He sent me the kits, plus these two weird brackets (bent on both ends w/screw hole openings on). I called him Scott and asked him what the heck they are, since my mechanic had NO idea where would those go. Scott told me they are the brackets for the fog covers. I asked him back: Well how do I installed them then? Scott replied: Well you need to drill a place on each side of the bumper, mount the brackets on, then you can put on fog covers and tighten them together! He also said just told my mechanic as is, and he would know how to do it.

Hmmm, it turned out my mechanic was saying: What the f*ck did you just say? Run that by me again, since they didn't make any sense.

I ended up leaving those brackets at home now, and use velcro to secure them (3 of them on each side of bumper and each fog cover, totalling 12)

If only I can find my invoice Scott sent me...

STI Version 5/6 Fog cover brackets:

57790FA520 BRKT COVER FOG RH
57790FA530 BRKT COVER FOG LH

I got mine from Garage Tuning. They got thier batch direct from a contact in Japan, IIRC.

I may end up using modified copies, so that I can mount the covers over the fog lights. Not sure I want to cut up the OEM parts...
