Default Stock WRX vs. RS-T @ 3psi

Yeah, you read the above right... I'm at 3psi and was playing around with a friend of mine on some empty, safe road.

First off, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say that his car is stock other then a shifter and only has 2000 miles on it, so maybe it needs to break in more.

Well from a 45mph roll, I took off in 3rd, he took off in 2nd. We were neck & neck up til about the 95mph range where we backed off. Later we performed the same test again with the same results.

Strange, huh? Anyone else surprised by this? I think that WRX needs to break in a little more or something because I was expecting to get walked.

Check out this post from the Vishnu board. It's Shiv's report on testing a new WRX. See item # 4 in the post

I will definetely say that my WRX felt ALOT faster after about 8k miles. Seems like everything finally meshed perfectly, MPG jumped about 5mpg as well. Perhaps we should give it a shot on a "nice empty road" nick

Akira - Next time we get together, we're going to have to go for it. I'd be interested in seeing what it can really do now that I can go balls out without worrying about my 1800° EGT's that I had last time we went for it.

heh. Want it on stock boost control or MBC controlled. Might go back to stock anyways, since the MBC is pissing me off, it feels way quicker, since boost comes on strong, no gradual boost like with the stock bleed boost control, but its only holding 11psi regardless of how much I tighten it.
