Nice Subaru site with some cool Legacy history... too bad it's in Japanese:

Japanese companies often get American/western celebrities to sell the weirdest things.
I once saw Catherine Zeta-Jones hawking seafood crackers in a Japanese commercial. They often aren't even in the country, they just pose for some pics and voila - instant cash.

Bruce Willis is probably brought in to give a face to the new sophisticated Legacy, but you know the power still lurks under the hoods. Yippee-kai-yay MF!

Just watch "Lost in Translation" that will somewhat explain the ad campaign phenomenon. When I was over there Stevan SEAGULL was on TV all the time with a Vitamin Supplement or power-up commercial, The Governor was doing beer stuff, Leo DiCrapio was doing some reall ghey commercials....like driving a little honda box car pas some chicks and their skirts fly up, he drives back and says "Shiro, Ichigo" and drives away (that was WHITE and STARBERRY, to denote the style/color of their panties). He also did some lame Orico Credit Card Commercials....some are really funny...but I can't blame actors, singers or whatever for doing them because they get paid BIG dollars for VERY simple work.

Bruce Willis did commercials for some of the 1st gen legacies....that's probably why they brought him back.

Wow, a website like that in the USA would win awards. Nice design.

Jennifer Lopez did commercials for the last 3rd gen Legacy.

Hmm... what is "Active Driving Assist" in scene 4?

Is that similar to Honda's system that wakes up the driver if he falls asleep by vibrating the steering wheel?

"Subaru is also working hard to complete and introduce the Active Driving Assist (ADA) system. Using a pair of CCD cameras to look ahead of the car, the ADA system analyzes the visual information obtained via the cameras, automatically adjusts the distance between the vehicle in front if the car gets too close and warns the driver when the car goes out of its lane."

Thanks for the link, it was a nice slideshow (took a while to load tho).
