Default just passed obd check with no cat

My set up:Brullen header with gutted cat, 2.5 in midpipe, and a wrx rear section. The check engine light is always on.
I've been puting off getting the car tested because I was pretty sure it would fail. But in TN they don't sniff test 96' and newer cars, and you get one free retest if you fail. So I thought I would try it.
I reset the ecu, put 80 miles on the car and took it in. Not 5 miles after leaving with my "Certificate of Compliance" the check engine light came on. Man am I happy I don't have to swap the stock stuff back on.
