Default Anybody elses brake light turn on when driving?

well, my e-brake light turns on when i drive in the mornings and at night only. (yes, my e-brake is down). during the day, it doesnt turn on at all. it seems to be a loose wire or something.

when i brake fast, it turns off.
when i speed up/shift gears, it turns back on until i brake hard.

so, it seems there's some sort of pendulum type of receptor somewhere to make this light go off in this fashion. any tips on where i should look or what this thing looks like? anybody else have this problem? i did a search and found nothing.

The pendulum is probably fluid. Check the level. One of the big yellow caps under the hood.

add brake fluid.

depending on how old it is, you might want to flush.

also check pads to see if they are worn. brake fluid really doesn't leak so if fluid is low, pads are likely worn.

I had the same problem. My brake fluid looks normal. It turns out my brake pad was pretty worn out. I changed out all 4 pads and brake light never came on again. How many miles you have on your car?
