Default Purolator Pure One Oil Filter For Impreza PL14460

Does anyone know where to purchase a Purolator Pure One Oil Filter For the Impreza, P/N PL14460?

I went to Purolator's website, http://www.pureoil.com/pureone.htm , and if I'm reading it correctly, it appears that this model filter is only available in California through Pep Boys. However, Pep Boys does not purchase the Impreza sized P/N, PL14460. Currently, my local store is not able to order for me, as the P/N is not even set up in their system with pricing. So I'm going to contact Purolator and Pep Boys to find out why, and when they will stock it. But in the meantime, I'm curious... Were you able to purchase a PL14460?

P.S. Don't confuse this little blue filter with the normal white Purolator PremiumPLUS model of filter. I purchased and installed a Purolator PremiumPLUS oil filter this weekend. That P/N is L14460, and is also the Subaru OEM filter for the Impreza. The blue Pure One is a little better.

Was able to get it at Pep Boy in Sunnyvale, Nor. Cal.

Good luck.

Default Found it... sort of

Spoke with the manager at the local Pep Boys, and he said that they can order from the warehouse, but it is not currently in stock at the local warehouse. So I can try back in a couple of weeks...

Cool thing is that price-wise it is still cheaper than buying the OEM filter at my local dealership, they wanted $8. Pep Boys said it would be around $6. The oem filter is the Purolator white L14460, and that is about $4, so that is cool.

Thanks for the feedback!

Just buy OEM from subaruparts.com. They are selling them for $4.60, or somewhere around there. For 3 bucks a year more, I would go with OEM rather than L14460.

Default Just To Be Clear...

1) The L14460 = the Subaru OEM filter (in other words, it is the oem filter, but different lettering on the outside which does not say Subaru, instead it says Purolator.

2) The PL14460 is a better performing filter than the L14460/Subaru OEM filter.

Hence the wild turkey chase for the PL14460...
