Subarus possess self healing powers

Today, as I was about to pull out of Schucks, I was at a dead stop waiting to pull out on the street. When an Elderly Asian man backed out of his spot and ran into me in the rear passenger side. No major damage but my rear bumper was pushed in. I exchanged info with the guy and went about my day, bummed that I was going to have to deal with a body shop in my future.

But lo and behold as I was coming out of my sister-n-laws house after dinner. The bumper had popped itself back out and the car is healed
Luckily my wife saw the dent or else no one would believe me. I need to check tommorow during the daylight for scratches and such, but I thought I let you all know my car has Wolverine powers.

the paint will have flex and stress cracks all through and underneath the clearcoat

I would have the entire section at least repainted....

behind the bumper is a foam saftey piece then a huge solid steel beam

you'd know if there was damage to those items, trust me

Yeah, I dont know if you'll watch Friends but there was an episode where Joeys broke his chair and then it got fixed but he didn't know and he thought it was a miracle, cause his heart was pure and he loved the chair. Thats how I felt.

But, I looked at it this morning. There are a couple of scratchs on the bumper. So I'll see what I can get the insuarance company to do. It would be best, in terms of completed repair, if I could get a new bumper skin. But a repaint would probably be fine too.
