Default SAFC Newbie...reset or removal?

I didn't get a manual for the SAFC when I bought my RS-T from a guy in virginia last year, and I couldn't dig up what I was after searching. Is there a way to reset the ECU so that it doesn't affect anything, but only monitors what's happening? If so how do i do it?

To fill you in:

I bought a used 99RS-T that was tuned with an S-AFC. It worked well for a while, until the turbo blew. Decided that I should put the car back to stock, and save for an engine swap. Almost done. Car runs, but is having problem with fuel delivery...even with SAFC dialed all the way back, it's still running too rich.

With the turbo, the car was running huge RC 550 injectors. That's way too big for NA, so I've decided to pull the injectors and go back to stock. The injectors have been swapped, and I'm soldering the injector plugs back in now. (taking a break to write this post) Once that's done, the car is 98% finished. The only thing left to do is reset or remove the SAFC.

If it's possible to reset the thing so it doesn't actually create a fuel correction, but simply reads what's going on in with the engine, essentially a "blue flashy light machine," I'd be in favor of doing that for the time being. Less invasive and no hole in my dash.

If that's not possible, I suppose I'll just unplug it and remove it from the car. Or is that the preferred option anyway?

Yes, you simply set the cor to 0% across the entire map. Make sure you select the correct MAF type. The manual is still on APEXi's site.

You can't just reset it using the restore default function as it'll pick the wrong number of cylinders (6) and throttle/maf type and the car won't start. Just DL the pdf and you'll be set.
