Default a couple questions dealing with boost gauge light / power

Alright Im hooking up an autometer boost gauge and i understand the mechanical part of it but a just have a few questions.

this is the bulb i have: looks simple enough

1. what type of wire do I use from the bulb to the power source? speaker wire? ive heard 22 gauge is good?

2. what exactly does the harness behind the routes to look like? i understand that there are 2 open pins where the stock boost gauge connects, but what is actually there? is there an open wire in both of them that ican just splice into or is it just 2 empty holes? if its just emply how do the ends of the boost gauge wires fit into the holes? just push it in?

thanks guys.

Yes, 22 gauge should be more than enough. The black wire gets connected to ground... chassis ground. Anywhere in your car is fine, closer is better. Behind the driver kick panel is the easiest. As far as the white wire goes: hook it to the orange wire coming out of your light switch. Test the wire to make sure that you get +12 V only when you put the parking lights on.
