Default whats to do in Vancouver?

Whats up my suby brethren in Vancouver...

So I'm in Vancouver for another 5 days and am trying to figure out what I should do. I love the city, so far my wife and I have walked all over the place. We love the rain too which makes it nice. Of course, I do miss my 05 STi as I bust my rental Hyundai round them curves...

I'm staying Downtown, I think its called the Electra building. I haven't seen Carmen Electra yet...

thoughts?

There is the River Rock casino in Richmond which is a nice place to check out. I'm in Downtown as well and the best attraction is probably the neat little pubs and restaurants in Yaletown around Pacific Street. MaYbe check out a Canucks game while they are still hot

Have you been by Stanley Park? How about Queen Elizabeth Park? A drive up to Whistler is always nice and you can drop by RocketRally to do some shopping

Shopping can be done at Pacific Center downtown, Robson Street, Metrotown in Burnaby are the main ones.

i think the mountains actually got a dump of snow over the past few days...still not much cover this year...definitely worth a drive up to whistler/blackcomb just to see the place, and the drive is incredible...if you dont feel like skiing/boarding, you can even take the lift to the top and have lunch...a-mazing view. If you've never seen a BIG mountain, it's worth it for sure.

if you like trendy/fancy/expensive stuff, hit up yaletown for some dinner and drinks...or robson street for shopping.

Vancouver Aquarium www.vanaqua.org
There's some thing in Gastown...Storyeum, think they have some other exhibit now too.
Go take the gondola up Grouse mountain to look at the scenery, go tubing, tobagganing or skiing/boarding.

Eat. Lots of great restaurants around the entire city.

Walk around Granville Island, head up to Whistler, head up to Whistler, head up to Whistler
There's always Grouse Mt., nice view of the city if we get a day when the clouds are high enough.

I second Granville Island, not just because I work down here...
Walk to/ through Yaletown and take the tiny ferry (aquabus or false creek ferry) across the inlet to Granville Island. Good times.

grouse grind is not a hike....a nice easy hike is norvan falls..about 3-4hrs round-trip...flat the whole way...waterfall at the end.

The Capilano Suspension bridge is really great also. There is a tree top adventure which is kind of like an Ewok village. I also really like the Aquarium. http://www.tourismvancouver.com/visitors

Yaletown is nice during the weekends. A bit more happening. It's kinda quiet during the weeknights. I live right by the Marina Quay area. Do the seawall walk by False Creek in the day. It's quite nice and then hop onto the Aqua bus to Granville Island. It's fun in the mornings as the market there is teeming with activities.
I think Capilano Bridge is closed this time of the year no? Since you have the hyundai, might as well drive further out to places like Kitsilano or visit the nice homes by British Properties and marvel at the views these rich folks get!

Sold it.

What about Dine out Vancouver? We have a great variety of restaurants in town, and this is a cheap way to try them out. DIne out is a set dinner menu at various high end restaurants, that would cost an arm and a leg to go normally.
