Default a few different problems. link between them?

I got all of these codes at once and don't see how so many things could go bad at once. The car is a 93 1.8 L. It will start after about a dozen tries but its pretty rough.

12 - Starter switch or circuit
21 - coolant temperature sensor or circuit
34 - EGR solenoid valve

Help? Which should I start replacing? Think minimal spending.

#21 is your best place to start and the most common failure on those cars. Do you own a voltmeter? You can always test things, but the coolant temp sensors are known for failing...

I could probably get my hands on a voltmeter. Where is the coolant temp sensor located exactly?

Coolant temp sensor? Wouldn't that be the thermostat?
