Installing CAI soon...have some cutting questions
Right now I have the ebay short ram. I just bought some straight pipe (shiny aluminum) that I'm going to use to turn it into a CAI (stashing the filter in the fender).
Whats the best way to get the filter in the wheel well? DO I just hack and cut a hole on the inside of the engine bay big enough to get the filter in (5" dia at its largest), or is there a prettier way to do it? Do I take off the plastic wheel well cover and install it that way (from the ouside of the car, behind the passenger wheel)? I don't want to butcher the inside of the engine compartment unless I have to.

Do it by removing the plastic wheel well. It would probably take less time to remove that than to cut open that hole

If its anything like my car then the intake silencer/snorkel is down in there. I beleive theres two bolts or so and it should pop off. Its a big hunk of ugly plastic, you cant miss it! I think theres removal instructions on www.scoobymods.com
