Post ECU reset for '99 Liberty

Hi all.

I tried it, partly out of curiosity, partly because it was high time I retuned the radio presets (the previous owner had a penchant for '80s cheese (FM1) and talk radio (FM2).

(BTW a '99 Liberty is the '00 Legacy in the US).

Anyway, after leaving the battery unplugged for about 45 minutes, replugging it and restarting, it stalled the first time I tries to start it. Ran for 1 sec then died. Second time - no problem. Idle wobbled a little more than usual, then settled at 750 rpm. I left it to idle for just over 10 minutes, stopped it, restarted it and went for a drive. Heavy throttle opening showed a mild smoothing out of power, though absolute thrust hadn't changed. The autobox's behaviour was as before, despite warnings about the electronics 'relearning' its **** patterns. If anything the noticeable pick-up at 3500 rpm had been blunted, but the pull continued through to 5,500 rpm - in fact even running up to 6,200 rpm redline was worth it as the grunt didn't seem to run out.

Having run on premium fuel for months now I wasn't expecting anything at all - but it was good to listen to something else on the radio for a change .
