You need to slow down when you type. Just take them to an exhaust shop and get them rewelded.

I have never been impressed with Borla's headers. Way overpriced assembly line manufactured pieces of junk. The ceramic coating is a joke.

I agree with Matt, unless this post has some intent for technical help it shouldnt be posted here. It should go in.. hmm lets see... the product review thread maybe?
Did you call Borla directly and talk to them about the failure? When my Borlas cracked I called them and they offered to pay a local shop to fix them or send me a brand new one. Was super easy and only took a couple days to get the new one. The guy even included some header wrap and a tshirt. J |

Wow, I have Ver4 Borla's and have had them on there for almost 50k. Absolutely no problems whatsoever. They definitely aren't the best pieced headers, but they are decent. Mine have held together, haven't rattled, haven't broken.
Wasn't it awhile ago when they made a series of crappy headers that broke easily? Hm. Oh well, sorry to hear it. Have a shop reweld them and you'll save yourself some money. |

I have the Single Port Borlas and it seems that I've had nothing but trouble out of them. They've been rewelded multiple times and still crack the the collector (taken them to exhaust shops, a friend has mig welded'em, taken them to welding shops).
Supposedly, wrapping the header will solve this. The metal at the welds, while also stainless, has much less surface area as compared to the stainless pipes. For this reason, the pipes heat and cool quicker, making their expansion and contraction quicker, and leading to cracks around the welds. mine sounds like it's leaking now, so I think it's cracked again. It's always made a rattling sound, but I figure wrapping it will muffle that some. |

I am on my second single port set after warrantying one, and i looked at it today and it was cracked at the collector and gas was dropping out. why was there gas in my header? Maybe i will get them welded and then wrap them.

are you sure its gas and not water? Condensation is pretty common in exhaust.
Its weird that they are cracking at the collector. Do you have the exhaust on the transmission mount? Are the hangers still in good shape? Are your engine mounts overly soft? Does the motor move around much? |

I have cusco rubber exhaust hangers, a brand new apexi N1 catback so the metal hangers are fine, and sti trans and motor mounts. Nothings moving around to cause the breaking as far as i can tell.
