Default Looking for a job in IT?

I get a few notices a month that were hiring for desktop techs and server/application engineers. Its generally a mix of Windows and *nix admin stuff.

Would anyone find it useful for me to post the job openings here? If someone is interested in it I can even fill out an employee referal card that might help get your application read by a real person.

There are job openings from california to alaska as well...

Yeah, start a thread and keep us updated. I currently work for a school district with subpar pay for my training. Ive spent the last five years between infrastructure and desktop and would like to really move on.

If you run across anything suitable for an experienced Unix Admin (7 years plus BS/CS), especially on the west side, I'd be interested in hearing about it.

Sorry, not too much for the Washington guys yet. Chances are there are a few other job listings if you go to the careers link above.

BTW, they seem to have a program that scans all the applications for keywords and the right qualifications. I dont really have any tips for getting past the filter. It took me about 3 revisions of my resume to get past. Probably had something to do with my experience finaly reaching the required amount

Jeez, you guys actually require degrees and relevant experience and stuff like that. The qualities that the IT staff possess at my hospitals seem to be a 6-month certificate from the Acme School of Compooters, a 2-digit IQ, and the attitude that their job is obviously the most important one at the facility.

Though most larger companies have stricter requirements.

It's very common to ask for the moon . My company always puts a bachelor's degree as a requirement when we list positions for systems- and network-engineers. Even so, out of about 15 of us, only myself and one other person have at least a bachelor's degree. So it's obviously not a fixed requirement .
