how do i replace my o2 sensor?
my '00 RS check engine light came on. I pulled the codes and found that my first o2 sensor was slow, how much do they cost, and how do i put it in? Thnx for looking and posting...

I'm not sure on cost, somewhere's around $160.
Replacement is easy, unplug the connector and unscrew the sensor to remove. Thread the new one in and connect the plug. Then it'd be a good idea to reset the ECU. |

Yes, super, super careful. Hold the sensor straight up whilst wrenching with the other hand. (speaking from unfortunate experience). At least yours wont cost $350 if you do mess it up.

haha I used to work in Yonkers. when I thread something I always unthread it first until I feel it drop down then tighten it down. |

To gain access to the front o2 sensor I dropped my exhaust. Then I gor an o2 sensor socket from NAPA and used my impact on it. It was in there pretty good, but if you have a torch to heat up the surrounding metal it should come out ok.
