Default A few random questions (engine related)...

I've identified pretty much everything under my hood except for a few miscellaneous sensors/lines. There is one under the alternator with a single wire sprouting from it, I assume it's a knock sensor? There is also a sensor on right bank (facing the car) right infront of the front fuel injector. I have no idea what it is. Last thing I was wondering, what's the narrow line going from right infront of the left-front fuel injector to the top of the intake manifold? Part of the EGR or PCV system?

The knock sensor is behind the intake manifold, below the throttle body. Without going out in the dark to look at mine I think what you're seeing with the single wire beneath the alternator is an oil pressure sending unit. The sensor on the right bank is probably the coolant temperature sensor, but again I say that without actually going to look at mine. Not sure about the other one.

Patrick got the knock sensor right. its a part of the shortblock and should be on the top of the motor on the drivers side of the engine. Its under the intake manifold towards the rear of the car, held in with a 12mm (or 14mm?) bolt.

Cool, thanks. Anything on the line leading from the heads to the top of the intake manifold?

Cam sensor.
Crank sensor should be right behind the cranl pulley.
Knock sensor is under the intake manifold, towards the back and a little to the drivers side.
Coolant temp is usually under the intake manifold, towards the back and a little to the passengers side.
Oil pressure is under the alternator.
The "line" or tube (~1/4" dia) that runs from the rear of the drivers head to what looks like a BOV on the intake is the EGR tube.
The hose (~3/4") from the heads to the intake are part of oil vapor recovery and are considered emissions equipment.
