Default Idle Problems

I just replaced my head gasket, clutch, and cat in January, and now my car is broken again. Its a 98 2.5rs with about 90000 miles. When I start it now it does not want to hold idle. It putters until the rpm's get too low, then it stalls out. If I give it gas after I start it, it will keep running but frequently cut out. Thought it was the alternator, but fully charged battery and problem still occurs. Electronics fine, starts every time to date. Could it be fuel pump, idle sensor? Someone that has seen these symptoms, please help me out. My pocket is quickly emptying. Thanks.
