Question 2000 GT wagons- Any potential problems?

Hey gang- first post!

I've found a new 2000 GT wagon 5speed I'm looking to buy. Its been on the lot since April!

Are there any potental problems?
How interchangable are Legacy/Impreza parts? I've seen some Impreza brakes and engine mods I like- but can these by used on the Legacy?

Thanks in advance!

My moms GT Limited had a Wheel Alignment problem (Rattling steering wheel) and that was about it... Its been flawless since May.

I recomend the car totally!

Thumbs up

Well, for one, they are so fun to drive, they will get you in potential trouble with Mr. Law!

Seriously: A few of the ECUs in earlier 2000s had trouble with the A/F Sensors: Covered under warranty. They have the same "Clutch Shudder" problem that the Impreza has: will be covered under warranty.

The 2000 motor is the same as the 2000+ Impreza motor, so almost all of the motor mods will fit. You *won't* need an aftermarket intake (we have a great stock setup, with a little tweaking). You won't be able to grab any muffler and stick it on (because of the rear bumper design), but that is not a huge deal.

Otherwise, I would not trade my Legacy Wagon for an Impreza... Much nicer car in my opinion!

Welcome to the club! Ask anything, we'll be sure to help ya out...
